Lesson 2.6: Connecting Webmaster Tools (Google, Bing, etc.)
This step helps you verify your site with search engines so you can track performance.
How to do it:
- Go to SEO > General > Webmaster Tools
Add verification codes from:
- Google Search Console
- Bing Webmaster Tools
- Yandex
Paste the code into the correct field and save.
Where do you get the code?
- Sign into Google Search Console, add your site, and choose HTML tag.
- Copy the meta code and paste it in Yoast.
Why it matters:
- Verifies your site ownership
- Allows access to SEO insights, search rankings, and crawl errors
