Lesson 5.2: Managing Indexing Settings in Yoast

What is indexing?
It’s the process of allowing Google to include your pages/posts in its search results.

How to control it in Yoast:

• Go to any post/page → scroll to Yoast meta box
• Click Advanced (⚙️ icon) → Change “Allow search engines to show this Post in search results?” to:

1. Yes = index
2. No = noindex

When to use noindex:

• Thank you pages
• Duplicate content
• Internal-only pages

Why it matters:
Controlling indexing helps you keep unimportant pages out of Google’s search results, improving your overall SEO quality.
