Step 6: Avoid Thin Content & Duplicate Pages
Google penalizes websites with:
- Short or low-quality pages (“thin content”)
- Duplicate content (same or similar content in multiple places)
How Yoast helps:
- Use Noindex settings for archives, tags, or media if not useful
- Set canonical URLs automatically to prevent duplicate content issues
Tips:
- Only publish content that solves a problem or answers a question
- Don’t create 5 posts targeting the same keyword
